Ongoing Business
· Treasurer’s Report by Paul Moore
· Debbie Krogman is seeking items to loan to the Rogers Historical Museum. There is a sign-up sheet in the club meeting room. Items will be picked up at the October meeting.
· John Adams is sending 10 urns to Kaden's Cause. There is a need for 1 to 2 per week for their program.
· Ray Bradford reported on the VA Vet Pen Program, which had a successful 2nd meeting on Friday, July 31st. It was well attended by vets and member volunteers. We can now host 7 people on lathes thanks to another lathe donation. We still need several supplies to support this program. A motion was made and carried to buy 50 slim-line pen kits with club money. The next session will be on Friday, August 28th at 9AM at the club house. Additional needs include:

Upcoming Events
· Club Christmas Brunch will be December 12th. David Morris is overseeing and will have a sign-up list for food items for the brunch.
· Syposiums: SWAT (Southwest Assoc. of Turners) 8/28-30, RMWS (Rocky Mountain Woodturners Symposium) 9/18-20, TAW (Tennessee Assoc. of Woodturners) 1/29-30.
· ESSA's fall fundraiser, the Mad Hatter Ball, takes place Fri. Oct 16th at the Crescent Hotel. They are looking for donations for their silent auction. All funds raised go to provide for scholarship, veterans, and youth programs. Deadline to receive auction items is Sept. 2nd. Any questions, contact Emily Hartley, Events Coordinator at ESSA (Eureka Springs School of the Arts).
· Wishing Springs Gallery is having their annual Arts & Crafts Festival on October 15-17. We have been invited to demonstrate.
· We will be electing new officers at the October meeting. To put your name in for consideration, contact any board member.
· Membership renewal dues will be due in October. You can pay online or at the next meeting.

Bring-Back Raffle – we had 10 items in the raffle.
Demonstration – John Adams gave a demonstration on various texturing techniques including use of the Sorby texture tool, homemade and commercial chatter tools, plus woodburning and coloring options.
