Announcements

Next month's President's Challenge (July 11, 2026) is Platters Matter” - turn a plate, platter, saucer, plaque, etc.  Flat and round is what counts.

 

Upcoming Events

·      ESSA Platter Class with Ray Taylor Date: 6/26/2026-6/27/2026 has been cancelled

·      Syposiums: SWAT 8/28-30, RMWS 9/18-20, TAW January ?, 2027

 

Ongoing Business

·      Treasurer’s Report -- Paul Moore

·      Name tags -- Members are reminded to wear them as we don't all know each other

·      Kaden's Cause -- John Adams reported not receiving any urns recently

·      VA Vet Pen Program -- Ray Bradford reported this will start June 26th from 9 to noon

·      Website – It is currently running slow and is being investigated for cause

·      Calendars – These are free and some are still available

·      Rogers Museum donations were solicited by Deb Krogman

·      Bring Back donations – There was a poor showing this month. The rules were reviewed and members reminded that this is a primary fund-raiser for the club

·      AAW Membership is always encouraged

 

New business

·      John ? has a wet grinder system for free.

·      Frank E. is donating a core boring system to the club.

·      Deb Krogman is having knee replacement surgery, so she is stepping back from bringing refreshments to meetings and involvement in prepping for the Christmas brunch.

·      Larry Copas reported on an ESSA program that has an Open House Saturday from 2:30-5:30.

·      Larry Copas described a juried show at the Walmart Art Center with displays from September to December.  The rules and entry forms are on their website.  The show is “Our Time, Our Place” and applications close August 10th.

·      Paul Moore reported on Family Day at the Rogers Museum.  He also updated the club on getting a battery for the defibrillator.

·      Mike Elkins has been contacted about repairing a 3-legged stool if anyone wants to take on the work for hire.
