Meetings/Contacts/Events
Meetings:
We have a regular club meeting on the second Saturday of the month
at 9:00 AM. The meetings are held at the Jones Center for Families
on Emma Ave. in Springdale, Arkansas, and typically last until about
12:00 noon. We have a relatively short business meeting, followed by
a program which usually consists of a live demonstration of some
aspect of woodturning. The demonstrators are typically members of
our club, other woodturning clubs in this part of the country or a well
known professional woodturner.
We also usually have a "hands-on" session on the fourth Saturday of
the month at one of our member's workshop in Pineville, Missouri.
This get together also starts at about 9:00 AM and lasts until about
12:00 noon. There are enough tools and lathes that most attendees
can receive hands on mentoring in the various aspects of woodturning
and finishing.
