April 2007 Meeting
Our April 14th meeting featured Jeannie Hulen and Bethany Springer from the Art
Department at the University of Arkansas in Fayatteville. They discussed "Form,
Function and Art" as it pertains to the artist or craftsperson. Following the
presentation, raffle and "show and tell", we had a lunch break and then returned for an
"Open House" session with demonstrations of turning.
Kip Powers turned a bowl, Doug Hyde turned and decorated some tops, and Mark Ost
turned a finial. We had a fine turnout of members, but few visitors.
Bring Back raffle items were won by :
Mark Ost, Jerry Crowe, Tom Gailbreath, Mick Hutchinson, Harold Stoner, Carl Hoyle
and Doug Hyde.
